What is Is It Slime?

Is It Slime? is a Brisbane-based business selling handmade slime, squishy toys and DIY squishy kits. You can shop online for delivery within Australia.

Where is your slime made?

Our slime is handmade in Brisbane, Australia. Each slime has its own texture, colour and theme, so you can choose the kind of play you enjoy.

What is the difference between slime and a squishy?

Slime is played with directly: you can stretch, knead and squeeze it. A squishy has an outer skin that holds its filling inside. Our DIY squishy kits let you turn slime into a squishy of your own.

Squishy Kits

What is a DIY squishy kit?

A DIY squishy kit lets you make and decorate your own slime-filled squishy. You fill a squishy skin with slime, add your chosen decorations and secure the opening using the supplied zip ties.

What comes in a DIY squishy kit?

Our kits include slime, squishy skins, activator, decorations, zip ties and instructions. The quantities and decorations vary between kits, so check the individual product page for the full contents.

Do I need to make the slime myself?

No. The slime in our DIY squishy kits is already made. You get to focus on decorating it and making your squishy.

How do I make a squishy from slime?

Check the slime’s texture first and add a little activator if it’s sticky. Add your decorations to the slime or the empty skin, roll the slime into a ball, then gently stretch the skin over it. Twist the opening and secure it with a zip tie, following the instructions included in your kit.

Can I choose how to decorate my squishy?

Yes! Mix your decorations into the slime or add them inside the skin before filling it. Use the decorations supplied with your kit to make it your way.

Are DIY squishy kits a good rainy day activity?

Yes. A DIY squishy kit gives you a hands-on activity to make at home, followed by a squishy to play with. Set up on a clean table and keep the instructions and activator nearby.

Can I use DIY squishy kits for a birthday party?

Yes. Making squishies can be a party activity, or you can give guests a kit to take home. Contact us before ordering if you need a larger quantity or have a particular party date in mind.

Will my squishy skin last forever?

Squishy skins wear with use and can eventually tear. We use thin skins for a soft, squeezable feel, so gentle play helps you get more use from them. Avoid sharp objects, overstretching and pulling around the opening.

Can I still use the slime if the squishy skin breaks?

Yes. If the slime is clean and in good condition, you can keep playing with it as slime. Remove the damaged skin and zip tie, then store the slime in its original airtight container. Use the included activator if it becomes sticky.

Slime Party Pack

How many party packs do I get?

Each set includes 10 individual Slime Party Packs for $80. That works out to $8 per child.

What comes in each party pack?

Each pack contains 120 ml slime, one mix-in, a 5 ml bottle of activator and a slime care card.

Can I order more than 10?

Yes. Order in multiples of 10 by adjusting the quantity. For example, a quantity of 2 gives you 20 party packs for $160.

Is the slime already made?

Yes! Each pack comes with ready-made slime and a separate mix-in for children to add.

Can we use these at the party?

Yes. You can hand them out as take-home party favours or set up a table where children can add their mix-ins and play together.

What age are these suitable for?

Our Slime Party Packs are suitable for ages 6+. Slime and its accessories are not edible.

Slime care

Why is my slime sticky?

Slime can become sticky in warm weather or after being handled. Add one or two drops of activator and knead thoroughly before adding any more. Start in the container to keep things tidy.

What is slime activator?

Slime activator helps slime hold together and reduces stickiness. Add it a drop or two at a time, following the supplied instructions. Too much can make slime firm or rubbery.

How should I store my slime?

Put your slime back in its airtight container after play. Keep the lid tightly closed and store it somewhere cool, away from direct sunlight.

How long does slime last?

Slime changes with use and will eventually dry out or lose its stretch. How long it lasts depends on its texture, how often you play with it and how it’s stored. Clean hands, short play sessions and an airtight container help it last longer.

Safety and choosing a product

What age is your slime suitable for?

Our slime is recommended for ages six and up, with adult supervision. Check each product’s age guidance and warnings before buying, as squishy toys and kits may have different requirements.

Is your slime edible?

No. Even when it looks or smells like a sweet treat, slime is a play product and must not be eaten. Keep slime, activator and small decorations away from mouths and eyes.

What should I know before playing?

Wash and dry your hands before play, and use a clean surface. Keep slime away from carpets, clothing and soft furnishings. Avoid contact with broken or irritated skin, wash your hands afterwards and stop using the product if irritation occurs.

How do I choose a slime texture?

Think about what you like to feel when you play. Some slimes are soft and easy to knead, while others are stretchy or filled with crunchy mix-ins. Read the product description and our Slime Texture Guide to help choose your texture.

Shipping and orders

Do you ship across Australia?

Yes. We currently ship within Australia only.

How much does shipping cost?

Standard shipping is a flat rate of $10 within Australia and FREE SHIPPING over $100.

How long will my order take?

Orders are usually processed within one to six business days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Standard delivery is estimated at another two to eight business days after dispatch. Busy periods and carrier delays can affect these timeframes.

How can I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched, we’ll send a shipping confirmation email with tracking details where available.

What if there’s a problem with my order?

Email hello@isitslime.com.au with your order number, a description of the problem and clear photos if relevant. For a damaged item, please include photos of the packaging too.

Can I return an order if I change my mind?

We don’t accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If an item arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us so we can help. See our Returns Policy for details. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law still apply.
